So you’ve become a brand ambassador. Except for the fact that you have no idea how to promote your brand. For the first time in your life, you’re looking at the phone without a clue of what to say. Well, you really thought things through, huh?

Don’t worry, that’s why there’s this glorious thing called the Internet. We’ve got you covered.

Know Your Brand

Your recommendation means nothing if you have no idea what you’re recommending. Choose a brand that you have a passion for and your sincerity will shine through. A little extra research, and it’s time to put those know-it-all skills to good use.

Know Your Audience

Connecting with your audience is the easiest thing on your brand ambassadorship to-do list ‘cause, well, you’re a member of that audience. As a college student selling to other college students, you have the advantage of both credibility and relatability.

Know Your Platform

Every social media platform really is different. Keep Twitter short and sweet, hashtag only the important keywords, and post in between classes. Facebook posts are best done in the evenings, and should be highly visual.

Know What to Say

No need to  be a walking advertisement, subtly give your followers a reason to connect with your brand. Everything you post should contain some interesting snippet of information, something that others would actually like to know. Then link that valuable content with your brand and you’re golden.
