5 Tips to Survive Rush Week

Tips on surviving fraternity or sorority recruitment (read: wear good shoes).

  1. “It’s not frat, it’s fraternity.”
You are about to join a prestigious league of gentlemen. It’s about time you talk like one, sir.
  2. You are interviewing them, too.
It’s about finding the right fit. Don’t say I want to be in any fraternity or sorority because then you won’t fit in with any. Take the time to find the right one because they are trying to find the right pledges, too.
  3. Wear the right clothes, ladies.
No, I don’t mean revealing. You are about to spend the majority of your time with other women who aren’t interested in your body but rather how you connect with the sisters. Oh, and grab comfortable shoes. There’s going to be a lot of walking.
  4. Be yourself.
No matter who you are, there is a fraternity or sorority for you. They are going to figure out who fits best and you’re going to find the best friends of your life.
  5. Go Commando at rush.
Seriously? Well, you don’t have to tell anyone. But if you want to feel your best, it is worth a try. You can download the Go Commando App while you’re at it to get real time jobs as campus representatives pushed to your mobile device from major brands looking for students like you at your school. It pays to #GoCommando.
